Stauffer Family Update, January 17, 2018
Posted by Steve Stiglich Comments (0)
Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ,

I'm so very delighted to finally get to send this e-mail to you all. Our time in Mozambique for the last 15 months has been wonderful and God has proven Himself faithful in thousands of ways. We never imagined that from October 2016 - January 2018 we would become basically a "bi-lingual" family (that doesn't mean we speak flawless Portuguese lol) serving on the coast of a small town in Southern Mozambique...but that is what we are! Praise God for His grace and His faithfulness.

Many of you asked us to keep you informed about our progress as well as about ministry opportunities here in Mozambique. I am pleased to share with you that we are now at a point in our ministry where we can begin to think through, pray about, and even plan to have teams come alongside us and partner with us in the work of the gospel here in Maxixe.

Obviously, we are still at the earliest stages of our church planting work and so more time is needed to really see how God is going to open doors amongst the Chopi people. Having said that, I think it is highly likely that we could find ways to make use of teams doing things ranging from prayer walking, to sports evangelism, to leadership training and development, to "you name it."

Planning a trip will obviously take some time and there are many details to think through and so I just want to send this e-mail as a way of opening the lines of communication. If you believe that you might be interested in bringing a team of people here (and I will suggest that "team" is more along the lines of 4-6 people in our context as opposed to 10-15) we would love to hear from you. Just send us an e-mail and we can begin thinking through things step by step and see what the Lord has in mind.

Once again, I want to thank all of you for your continued support through prayer and giving to the CP and to the LMCO. We are indebted to Southern Baptists who faithfully lift us up to the Father and generously give so that we can go. We are so grateful to call you our partners in the gospel (Philippians 1). We love you all. God bless.

In Christ,
The Stauffer's

Mrs. Margaret Williams is home and her hemoglobin levels are up some and she is awaiting the results of a GI Scope with a camera pill. She seems to be doing much better. She does have a hernia which the doctors feel they can treat with meds.
Mrs. Margaret Williams Has Been Admitted to Good Sam's

Just got of the phone with Ron Williams. Mrs. Margaret hasn't been feeling good all December and had a Doctor's appointment today. She was very weak and Dr.called squad on her and sent her to Good Sam's ER where she is now. They have run several tests but they want to run more so she is going to be admitted. Please pray for our special Lady and Brother Ron. I'll let you know as soon as I hear any updates from Brother Ron.
